Art Created from Photography

Content Solutions at People Inc. is a prime example of a multifaceted turnkey operation that provides artwork, advertising, prepackaged illustrated articles and fully developed magazines for a variety of clients on print and digital platforms alike. For this entry, I chose the team’s creations using photographic art. Some of the photos are of styled objects; others are crafted through the assembly of disparate elements. Some are simple photos that represent the product elegantly.

Content Solutions at People Inc. Mosaic magazine illustration, circa 2024

This filtered and toned image of a European-style breakfast succeeds in making its viewers’ mouths water through its selection of objects as well as its color palette. It’s friendly, bright and inviting. The photographic lighting is near-perfect and the focus is tight enough to withstand the softening of the blur filter (probably). Kudos also go to the food stylist for introducing a hint of order to this kitchen counter.

Content Solutions at People Inc. Proto magazine illustration, circa 2025

In an age when artificial intelligence is dominating the headlines, this rendering of the human brain as an electromechanical device is utterly brilliant. It reflects the science that recognizes the differences and similarities between the left brain and the right brain, yet distills those into component objects that are recognizable in themselves. Meters. Switches. Control dials. Heavy cables. A hot-water valve. Everything that science says makes our brains function is mimicked here in a sharp, well-illuminated photo that Content Solutions included in a package about human memory.

Content Solutions at People Inc. Celebrate magazine cover illustration, circa 2024

For a client’s Celebrate magazine cover, Content Solutions achieved a highly textured image of an atypical gingerbread or cookie house, suggesting the witch’s house from “Hansel and Gretel” or a similar spooky tale. The delicious elements are visible and recognizable, and the overall impression is guaranteed to make the viewer want to nibble it. At the same time, the audience of the publication is home bakers and cooks, and the component pieces of the house and foreground are presented in a way that reassures even the rankest of amateurs that they too can craft this.

Content Solutions at People Inc. Lincoln Motor Company ad campaign, circa 2025

This judiciously tightly cropped photo, with its rainy and grainy black-and-white throwback to the runway scene in “Casablanca,” is proof that less can be more, and that a suggestion of this and a soupçon of that is just enough. The couple’s feet. The Lincoln logo on the wheel. The first two letters of the vehicle’s model name. The serif type. Captain Ahab wishes he could have pulled in the white whale as well as this image pulls in customers.
